Ripe, pure and floral, with aromas of bramble berries, wild cherry, peppery spice and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is silky, elegant and well-concentrated with juicy, ripe fruit and fine tannins leading to a long, savoury finish. This one takes you on a journey once it's opened, evolving and improving in contact with air.

Fermented with wild yeasts and macerated softly in large wooden vessels.

The Carnuntum wine-growing region stretches eastward from Vienna to the Slovakian border. The vineyards extend south of the Danube across three hilly areas. Here in 1912,young Katharina Muhr was given a modest 0.17 hectare plot of vines by her aunt. Over the years Katharina tended to the vines and enjoyed the wine they gave until the vines eventually died off and the land was left fallow. In 1995 Katharinas granddaughter Dorli Muhr had her own dream of making wine and began to replant the fallow land. The project soon blossomed and grew into a boutique winery where Dorli now works alongside her daughter, Anna.
