Chteau Pegau is the sister project of the renowned Domaine de Pegau, the latter of which is famed for its Chteauneuf-du-Pape. Chteau Pegau instead focuses on the surrounding terroirs, producing wines that reflect a traditional Rhne Valley style. The Cuve Stier is made from 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvdre, all grown in a Southern Rhne vineyard in a Mediterranean climate. Flavours are rich and fruit-forward as a result: cassis and black cherry lead on the palate, followed by licorice and black tar notes. Pair this with pepper-rubbed steak, or grilled game meats.
