Caves Messias Santola Vinho Rose

The Santola Vinho Verde Ros is made exclusively from red grape varieties. A soft crushing and pressing make it possible to gently extract the juice. The Ros must is clarified, resulting in a bright, clear wine. The final wine has vibrant aromas and flavors of fresh strawberry, pomegranate and orange zest, which are corralled by a pleasantly light spritz. Very refreshing.

Vinho Verdeis a well-known DOC in the Minho region of northwest Portugal. The quality of the wines made here are so fresh and light that they earn the monikerverde('green'), which applies even to the red. White, red and ros wine are permitted by the DOC but it is youthful white wine that is by far the most popular.
