The Quinta do Montalto team note that: The Claurican is a mischievous and good-natured fairy in Irish folklore known for his great love of drinking and a tendency to haunt breweries, pubs, and wine cellars. Because we don't want to be pranked by him, we bottle under his name, the most natural and out-of-the-box wines.
