Redbreast 15 Year Old began as a one-off limited bottling in 2005 created exclusively for La Maison du Whisky in Paris. It proved so exceptional that it was made a permanent part of the Redbreast family. Richer, earthier, and more complex than its 12-year-old sibling, the 15 Year Old is triple distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted barley at Midleton Distillery in County Cork, then matured for 15 years in a combination of first-fill and refill ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, all of the natural oils that build up during maturation are preserved giving it an unusually creamy, silky texture that sets it apart from nearly every other Irish whiskey at any age.
